Rockin' The Vest

Dear Lions and rap enthusiasts,

Lions and non-Lions everywhere are talking about the newly-debuted Lions rap video "Rockin' the Vest." In the video, real Lions members dance and sing along with an original rap song while they perform community service.

Our hope is to make this rap video go viral, to expose as many people as we can to the great work that we do and excite them about serving their communities. Partnered with four new and fun public service announcements, this rap video is designed to have potential members view us in a new way.

Do you rock the vest? Watch the Lions "Rockin' the Vest" rap video and help us spread the word by sharing this video with your club members, friends, family and neighbors.

Thank you for helping our Lions rap go viral.

Location Change PDF Print E-mail

The Duncanville Lions Club Board of Directors voted Wednesday night at its monthly meeting to change the location for the regular weekly Friday Lions Club Meetings/Luncheons starting July 1, 2011.

We received a proposal from Chubby’s Restaurant to cater our weekly meetings at the Duncanville Lions Club Community Building located at 210 Lions Trail, Duncanville, TX  75116 (north of the City’s Recreation Center/Library and west of Central Elementary).

Many of you have attended special events such as the Valentine Party in February and have experienced the quality service and food provided by Chubby’s and many members expressed an interest in having our meeting in our own building.

So starting with the fiscal year of July 1 we will do just that and our new incoming President, Leon Miller, and the Lions Board of Directors are pleased to form this partnership.

"We Serve"

Lions Club International LogoWith that simple two word motto, you can learn everything you need to know about the Duncanville Lions Club.

With us, it's not just a motto to hang our hats on, it's a charge to each and every Lion to be about the business of serving.

Serving our community, serving our country, and serving our club.

But don't get the idea that we are all about business and don't enjoy coming together each Friday for a little thing we like to call "Stress Relief Fridays".

If you leave the weekly meeting without at least cracking a smile, then you need to have your giggle box tuned up.

Our tail-twisters are all about keeping Fridays light-hearted and making the meeting a much needed stress buster for your hectic week.

We have plenty of opportunities to serve and to make a difference.

We will be glad to have you as my guest for the 1st visit (free lunch).  Cost of lunch is usually $12.00.  We meet for lunch every Friday at 11:45 A.M. at the Lions Club Building located at 210 Lions Trail, Duncanville.

Hope to see you there soon.
